"girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
silver white winters that melt into spring..."

these are a few of my favorite things

inspiration is. simple. beautiful. everywhere.

bienvenido a MYami

Wednesday starts our official search for our first place together in Miami.  (To me any of the above will suffice!)  I can’t believe Sean’s job starts in a month and a half…time is flying! I get more excited by the day for all of these changes to begin, or have they already? Before we know it we’ll be sitting on our balcony looking out over the city as a married couple! Ahh can’t wait.

Door #1

Today Sean embarked on his first career orientation in Atlanta, GA for Deloitte Consulting.  All day, all I could imagine was him sitting in a room with wide, smiling eyes, so excited to begin this opportunity.  He has worked harder than anyone I’ve ever seen at making his ambitions come to life.

Door #1 has opened.

He has waited patiently for his career to begin and here it is.  Now, here I am waiting patiently for his phone call to tell me all about his first day! (Of course with wide, smiling eyes).

Love (in unlikely places)

This cardboard heart was found in the heart of Delray Beach, FL two weeks ago at Sean’s and my engagement photo shoot.  We were trudging through burrs and tall grasses when I came across three of them.  Not sure why they were there, or what they were originally meant for, but that cardboard heart sure means something to me now.  I love unlikely things in unlikely places…

"Bridging" the Gap

Norman Rockwell, “Bridge Game - The Bid”, 1948 (oil on canvas)

I like Norman Rockwell, but I LOVE this painting! I was fortunate enough to see this last year in person and even though I’m young (and don’t know a thing about bridge), I completely understand the point he was trying to make.  Take a look at the perspective, texture, and vividity! Truly remarkable. You almost have to smile thinking that you know something they don’t. When I saw this painting in a museum the docent had to ask me to move back — I was so intrigued by all it’s details! I hope you are too!

"Fall" in Love

Inhaling excitement as he holds up “the one”.

Mom and Dad watching, having just as much fun.

The Daniel family inspires me with their love for each other, devotion to family and school, and ability to persevere.  They are truly blessed.  I admire their undertakings and encourage them in everything they aspire to do and be. <3

Milestone

Yes, this is my odometer reaching 101,010 miles.  I pulled off the highway to take this photo on 10/11/09.

This is more than just a literal milestone, however, this is the day I marry the love of my life, Sean.  He is the inspiration behind this blog and it’s title “Inspirasean”.  He helps me see the beauty in everything, including myself. Everyday he reminds me of how blessed we are.  October 10th, 2010 may seem miles away, but I know it is just around the corner.
